After was a great movie, and we are all waiting for the sequel to meet the light of the day. We know we might have to wait a bit more for it, but here’s all you need to keep in mind before watching the sequel, starting with the fact that the entire series started as a Wattpad fanfic with Harry Styles.
The sequel is based on the second book of the series
This series is made out of 5 books. The second book of the series is called After We Collided, and it was written by Anna Todd. She recently wrote on Twitter: “After We Collided era is here. We’re getting a sequel, guys!”
The movie will be rated R
We all know that After was rated PG-13, and fans believed that a lot of juicy scenes were left out. One fan said: “Kinda mad the “After” movie was PG13, the books are entirely rated R & the film would’ve been 10x better if it was rated R”. The author of the books announced on Twitter that the movie would be rated R, as per the new contract.
Dylan Sprouse will be in it
It seems that Dylan Sprouse will be joining the cast of After We Collided as Trevor Matthews. Hardin calls him “fucking Trevor” in the books. Clearly, he can’t stand the dude. Trevor is Tessa’s coworker who likes her. Dylan Sprouse shared the news on Twitter: “Excited to announce my participation as Trevor in After We Collided! Going to be filming in Hotlanta soon and can’t wait to keep y’all posted”
Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes-Tiffin will be back
The lead actors of the movie, Josephine Langford (Tessa) and Hero Fiennes-Tiffin (Hardin), will reprise their roles on the sequel. The entire series is about them, so we are glad we will get the same actors, and none of them has been replaced.
