Since Halloween is right around the corner, game developers from all over the world are doing their best to bring us scary updates. The same thing applies for Apex Legends, as Respawn Entertainment, the developers of the first-person shooter and battle royale title, are preparing something special for the period between October 22 and November 3.
Apex Legends will soon be embracing the Fight or Fright Event, and it’s exactly what Halloween fans want: a scary new mode, spooky challenges, as well as spectacular rewards. Feel free to embrace the trailer:
Play the new “Shadow Royale” LTM on Kings Canyon After Dark, where death is just the start. Respawn as a Shadow to haunt your enemies and help your squad. With freakish speed, deadly claws, and the ability to revive your teammates, you won’t miss a step. And you can keep going until your whole squad is wiped out. Plus complete frightening challenges to earn freaky free rewards and outfit your Legends with new and classic Halloween cosmetics in the store. Ready to terrorize the Arena?
The battle royale hegemony continues
Battle royale games had known a tremendous increase in popularity for the last years, and we certainly cannot complain about that. Apex Legends has a lot of competition from other titles like Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone, PUBG, Garena Free Fire, Ring of Elysium, Call of Duty: Mobile, and a lot more.
Apex Legends is available for free on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Not to mention that both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles will be capable of backward compatibility for most of the top games available for precedented consoles. Therefore, we can make the fair assumption that Apex Legends will also be available for the next-generation consoles from Sony and Microsoft, respectively.
