In a tech world where a whole fanbase is eager to get their hands on the iPhone 12 flagship that comes out in October, Apple continues to shine in other ways as well. The Cupertino-based giant released yesterday iOS 14 beta 8 and iPadOS 14 beta 8 for developers.
iOS 14 beta 8 even became available to public beta testers as well.
Build number: 18A5373a
To get your hands on the update, all you’ll have to do is have some patience. A notification should appear on your phone’s screen and inviting you to update. You’ll have to keep checking your device, as such an update could take a while to roll out for all the registered developers.
But what’s new in iOS 14 beta? The features are endless, as there is a new Calendar app icon, new widgets for Files, changes for the Music app, updates to the time picker wheel, and much more.
Major Apple event scheduled for September 15
Apple is preparing to unveil plenty of new toys at a virtual event held in less than a week. Hopefully, we’ll get to learn more about iOS 14 at that date. Apple will use the event for unveiling the iPhone 12 flagship, the Apple Watch Series 6, and the iPad Air 4. Perhaps there will be other additions as well, but the highlight is arguably iPhone 12. Apple seems determined to bring a better flagship than iPhone 11.
Hopefully, the ongoing pandemic won’t delay other tech events of Apple anymore. The company was forced to reschedule the launch of iPhone 12 for a month later than initially intended. However, it will be worth the wait, as iPhone 12 will be the first Apple smartphone capable of 5G connectivity. Furthermore, the upcoming gadget will be featuring the A14 Bionic chipset, which will be the fastest processor present on iPhones.
