We all know how popular is Avengers: Endgame – it’s really the world’s highest-grossing film. And Fortnite is the most-played video game. So with many people following both the movie and the game, a crossover was inevitable. It was only a matter of time. They have done it in the past, and now they did it again.
Developer Crystal Dynamics showed during a video stream reveal for Marver’s Avengers new content, which will be accessible in beta. But this is not about the side mission available in beta, but about the fact that those who complete the experience will be able to play Fortnite with a little surprise.
After completing the beta, players will get a pickaxe, which they will be able to use in the battle royale game from Epic Games. This axe is shaped like Hulk’s fists, so when players use it in the game, it looks as if they were smashing their way through buildings and trees.
This is not really the first time our heroes made their appearance in Fortnite. For them to promote Infinity War, the stone-filled gauntlet was placed into the game, together with players that were able to mimic the Mad Titan Thanos.
Fortnite has also made its appearance in the MCU, too. The screenwriters of Endgame has stated that Thor spent some time playing Fortnite, intimidating the younger audience via his headset. And we actually expected Thor to do that.
We are very excited about the new missions, and if we are lucky enough to complete all the missions in beta, we might get our hands on the pickaxe, and we’re going to have even more fun.
