Although PlayStation 5 is just around the corner, the good old PlayStation 4 still has plenty exciting things to offer. Sony still offers a lot of attention to the latter, and surely the console will remain into the spotlight for long, even after the release of the next-generation machine PlayStation 5.
During Tokyo Game Show, publisher Forever Entertainment and developer MegaPixel Studio made the announcement that their remake of Panzer Dragoon arrives for PS4 in only a few days.
Panzer Dragoon: Remake is a cool window back to a neat little corner of video game history. With modernized graphics acting as rose-tinted glasses to make it more visually pleasing than the 1995 original, this is a neat little arcade shooter that keeps things exciting for an hour or two. It’s just enough to make me wish that the developers had gone a little farther and built this remake up with more levels or, maybe, gambled on a fully modernized take on the original’s simple concept.
Panzer Dragoon: Remake was released earlier this year for the Nintendo Switch console. The game arrived to Stadia on June 1, and a PC release arrived on September 25. Besides the new PS4 availability, the game is also awaited for Xbox One sometime in the near future.
The remake remains true to the original, and it features improved graphics and controls in accordance with modern gaming standards. The game sends the player to a lone planet where two dragons are awakening from ancient times. However, the player won’t be helpless in this journey, as he gets a deadly gun and guidance from an armored blue dragon. The purpose is to keep the Prototype Dragon from reaching the Tower.
If you’re aiming to get your hands on Panzer Dragoon Remake, it will cost you $24.99. For the PC version, the game requires a minimum of 4GB of RAM and a graphics card like NVIDIA GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 290.
