Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us 2 and Final Fantasy 7 Remake Have Been Delayed, and We Know Why

Many popular games out there have been delayed from their original release dates in 2020, including The Last of Us Part 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Final Fantasy 7: Remake. Fans have been waiting for years before they could play their favorite games in the remastered versions or sequels, and now they have to wait even more. We have written this article to tell you why they have been delayed.

For example, Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed for about five months, and it will be released on September 19, 2020. CD Projekt Red, its developer, announced on Twitter the delay, and they stated that they are postponing the game so they can make it better. Keanu Reeves will also have its role in Cyberpunk 2077, playing Johnny Silverhead.

Final Fantasy VI: Remake has also been delayed from March 3 to April 10. Square Enix, its developer, has already released a demo for the remastered version, and it has received great reviews. They delayed the release date because they also want to make it better – some changes in the gameplay.

The Last of Us Part 2 has been delayed by Naughty Dog, from February to May 29. They also needed more time to make the game better.

Other games on this list are Watch Dogs Legion, Rainbox Six Quarantine, and Gods and Monsters, but we do not have a clear release date.

PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and other consoles will be released by the end of this year, which is another reason why these games have a delayed release date. When they started developing the games, the creators were not aware of the specs of these consoles, so it’s understandable why they want more time for their games.
