On May 26, 2020, Netflix revealed the release date for the third season of Dark. This time, Netflix decided to keep fans happier by not making them wait for long. The third season will be here on June 27.
The second season was launched on Netflix on June 21, 2019. We’ve seen how Michel committed suicide, and that’s when the storyline took off. It was only normal that season 3 was being released on June 27, 2020, since that date marks the beginning of the last cycle.
What did we learn from the trailer?
Netflix has allowed us to see more in a 1-minute teaser trailer, which was launched on May 26. The official trailer was then released on June 12, 2020. Netflix also launched a trilogy trailer on June 19, 2020. The German series will come to an end after its third season. The co-creator of the show, Baran bo Odar confirmed the news on his Instagram profile.
In the beginning, the show was compared to Stranger Things, but Dark managed to create its own, unique story, and it started to put a stop to the speculations slowly.
What about the cast?
Louis Hofmann, Jordis Triebel, Lisa Vicari, Mark Waschke, Andreas Pietschmann, and Lea van Acken will be back, that’s for sure. As of now, we know nothing about the rest of the cast. By taking a look at the trailer, we’ll probably see a much bigger cast, and we are looking forward to hearing more about it.
What about the plot?
The action took place in different timelines – from the 1920’s to the ’80s to present. But we are not sure what to expect anymore, especially since we don’t know precisely what Al Martha meant when saying, “Not what time, but what world?”. Just when we were sure we finally understood what was going on, we are back at the beginning, thinking “what did just happen?”
