Fortnite Gets ‘Astronomical’ from Travis Scott

Both astronomy and video games can be enjoyable and represent the triggers for many interesting discussions. During these harsh times for humanity, we can enjoy a great battle royale game like Fortnite or a space documentary with Neil deGrasse Tyson as the narrator. But why not both?

Fortnite is a massively played online battle royale game where the player can do pretty much anything he can think of in order to survive the siege from his opponents. Therefore, rapper Travis Scott decided to show his respect by premiering a new track called ‘Astronomical’ during a virtual tour of Fortnite.

Schedule

If you want to catch the in-game live show, you have to hop in about 30 minutes earlier. The full schedule goes as following:

  • Friday, April 24 at 12 am BST
  • Friday, April 24 at 3 pm BST
  • Saturday, April 25 at 5 am BST
  • Saturday, April 25 at 4 pm BST
  • Saturday, April 25 at 11 pm BST

As we don’t know pretty much anything about how the song will sound like, we can easily guess by its name that it will be about astronomy. Scott will be joining the event as part of Fortnite’s Icon Series. This series is a virtual repository of skins, items and other cosmetics inspired by content creators and celebrities.

Being developed by Epic Games and published by the same brand along with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Fortnite is available for a large set of platforms: Windows, PlayStation 4, macOS, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, iOS, and Android.

Who is Travis Scott

As everybody knows about Fortnite these days, maybe the same doesn’t apply for who knows about Travis Scott. By his real name of Jacques Berman Webster, Travis Scott (formerly stylized as Travi$ Scott), is an American singer, rapper, songwriter, and record producer. He’s only 27 years old, being born on April 30, 1992, in Houston.
