Even though there are many Chinese based tech manufacturers, Xiaomi is the only one that is managing to take the smartphone industry by storm. The reason behind this is that Xiaomi doesn’t like to rely on Google when it comes to software and instead, it develops its own applications and services. The best example of this is MiXplorer which is one of the best file managers available for smartphones.
MiXplorer is equipped with tons of useful features but what truly makes it shine when compared to other file managers is the fact that MiXplorer benefits from a constant stream of updates that Xiaomi’s developers are rolling out on a weekly basis. In fact, a new update has recently been released and today we are going to check out everything there is to know about it.
MiXplorer 6.42.0 Beta Update
The first thing that we want to note about MiXplorer’s latest update is that it sports the 6.42.0 beta version number. As we can tell from the version number, the only MiXplorer users who can access it right now are those who are enrolled in the beta program.
Luckily, everyone who uses a Xiaomi smartphone is allowed to join the program. We are advising all MiXplorer users to download the update as soon as possible because it comes with a bundle of bug fixes that are tackling various issues which sometimes caused the file manager to lag.
The new update is rolling out via OTA (over the air) channels to all MiXplorer users who are enrolled in the beta program and it is targeted to smartphones that are running on the latest Android 10 Q operating system. Fortunately, the update requires a minimum of Android 2.0 Éclair in order to run without any software issues. In addition, the update weighs in at 2.42MB which makes it a lightweight release.
