My Hero Academia is one of the most popular manga series out there. There are light novels, games and anime tv series about this concept. 4 seasons are released so far, and each one of them got high ratings and great fans.
The story is about a boy who joins a very popular Hero Academy even if he has no superpowers whatsoever. The creators did an English dub of the series, too.
This year we got to season 4, and people started wondering whether there will be a season 5. Here is all we know so far.
Is there a Season 5?
We are all excited for this series to continue. We cannot wait to see what season five would be like.
There will be a Season 5, and it was announced after the end of Season 4. The news was also revealed in the 8th issue of the 2020 Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.
So when is the release date?
Right now, they are still working on the 5th season. Funimation also revealed the fact that production is happening. There is a lot of work that still needs to be done for the season to be complete. We should also keep in mind that the animation process usually takes a very long time to complete, which means that we will have to wait sometime before we get the season.
As of now, we don’t have an official release date for the 5th season. However, we’re expecting it to be released in Japan in 2021. After it gets released in Japan, it will also be released in the US.
The tv series is based on the manga series and the fifth season will get inspired from the material from the Joint Training Arc.
