Nobody can deny the tremendous success that PUBG Mobile is facing or its extremely fun gameplay. In January 2019, the game was reported to have a jaw-dropping amount of 400 million users. Such a fanbase speaks for itself about how great the game can be. But even so, you know what they say about nothing and nobody being perfect in this world.
While a lot of PUBG fans were happy about the arrival of the 0.18.0 update, it turns out that it also had an unexpected and unpleasant side. It had some new exciting content to be added to the game, but it also brought some pesky bugs. One of them is causing a lot of players to be unable of signing in with their Google Play Games or Facebook accounts so they can save their in-game progress. The following message prevents them from logging in:
“Account has been logged in with a newer version of the game, and can no longer log in with an older version. Please update to the newest version.”
But as you surely are annoyed by the issue if you’re among those players, there’s no need to panic.
Tencent Games brings the solution
To solve the issue, it’s a lot easier than anyone expected. You just have to raise a help query from the loading screen, go to settings, and find the Customer Service option. Next, find the Contact Us page and select the keyword ‘account lost’. Then, you’ll get a dialog box, select ‘No, they didn’t help’, answer some easy questions, and you’re all set. Your account will now be logged back in.
