
Netflix has hit gold with its series Rick and Morty. We’re talking about that show with the mad scientist Rick Sanchez and his grandson, Morty. The two of them have to deal with their regular life while going on adventures – most of them dangerous and weird. The series is an American adult animated science fiction sitcom on Adult Swim, and it has managed to attract a strong fanbase all over the world. Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon are the makers of the series.
Morty is 14 years old and, together with his alcoholic scientist grandpa, travel to other planets and other dimensions through portals, with the help of Rick’s flying car. Besides monsters and different creatures, we also get to meet the Smith family.
What about the cast?
These are the actors coming back for the fifth season: Justin Roiland as Rick Sanchez, Morty Smith, Greenbobe, Green Alien, Blob Alien, Chris Parnell as Jerry Smith, Spencer Grammer as Summer Smith and Sarah Chalke as Beth Smith. As of now, we have no official statement of new characters coming to the show.
So when is the release date of season 5?
The fifth season was supposed to be released on the 26th of July, 2020. However, due to the pandemic, the release date has been postponed. Up until now, we got four seasons and 41 episodes. The last season aired on Netflix on the 10th of November, 2019. It seems that we’ll have to wait until November this year to get more details.
What about the plot?
As of now, we don’t know much about the plot of season 5, since they are still working on the fourth season. Harmon has talked about some of his ideas, like Morty buying a boat and Rick making a log cabin with hair. We are still waiting for more info on this matter.
