COVID-19 has made its way into our lives way easier than expected. If it weren’t for it, we would have already known the release date for the 4th season of Stranger Things. Everyone was ready to start filming, but they had to stop the production in March when the outbreak happened. The production is still not resumed. They will probably start filming in August, but that really depends on the situation then.
If the lockdown gets extended…
The writers have recently revealed that they are finished with the scripts for the 4th season; however, they could all be changed if they don’t start filming soon. The actors are not the kids anymore, as we first got to know them. They’re grown now, and they might have to include a time leap in order to balance things.
The cast of Stranger Things is made out of child actors who are now teenagers. The timeline of the show has taken leaps in order to adapt to their real ages, and everything worked just fine so far. However, because of the delay, things might get complicated.
Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven, Noah Schnapp, who plays Will, Caleb McLaughlin, who plays Lucas, Gaten Matarazzo, who plays Dustin, Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike, they were all child actors, but now they’re about 16 years old, and they might have to change the script again.
But the real problem is that, if the lockdown gets extended until the end of the year since the USA has the highest number of coronavirus cases in the world, this might complicate things even more. There might be big differences, and they might have to change a bit the storyline, not to be that obvious.
