
We have all seen the success of The Witcher. It’s one of our favorites on Netflix. It is based on the novel with the same name, by Andrzej Sapkowsk. When it first made its appearance on Netflix back in December 2019, it became successful since day one, and everyone praised it. The critics also had good things to say about the cast and the special effects used.
Netflix has renewed the show for a second season
Due to the new coronavirus outbreak, Netflix has decided to shut down the production of the second season. But this is not the only show they postponed. They did it with a lot of them for safety reasons. The production will begin when things are under control.
So when is the release date?
The delayed the production of the series, which means that we don’t know an exact date for the second season yet. We expect to get our hands on the new season around 2021.

These are the actors coming back for the second season of The Witcher: Henry Cavill as Geralt, Paul Bullion as Lambert, Freya Allan as Cirilla, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Mecia Simson as Francesca, Thue Ersted Rasmussen as Eskel, Agnes Bjorn as Vereena, Aisha Fabienne Ross as Lydia, Yasen Atour as Coen and Kristofer Hivju as Nivellen.
What do we know about the plot?
According to the showrunner, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, the next season will be based on the Blood of Elves book. Rumor has it, there is also a new actor joining the cast of season two. A certain Violet will join the story. There will also be more witches besides Geralt. We will learn even more about the story, and did you know that there’s an anime movie in works? Its name is The Witcher: Nightmare of the World.
