According to some sources, Bill Burr will not be coming back for the second season of The Mandalorian, even if reports stated the contrary. But surely, he is one of the most popular stand–up comedians in the industry, and he started acting again in the recent years. In the present, he can be seen in the King of Staten Island.
Of course, it is not a surprise that we’re seeing Burr show up in a movie that’s directed by Apatow and starring Davidson from SNL. Burr was able to surprise many people last year when he decided to leave comedy behind for a bit in order to make a one-episode appearance in The Mandalorian series.
Burr was seen together with Mando and Baby Yoda in the episode “The Prisoner,” in which he played the mercenary Mayfeld. Even if he stated that he does not like Star Wars, he still gave an incredible performance in the episode, and there’s also a possibility that Mayfeld will be seen in the future again.
Will Mayfeld be back?
However, those people who loved Burr’s decision to be a space mercenary might be upset to find out that he stated that he would not appear in the second season of The Mandalorian. Ee all know that previously it was reported that he would be back. However, that is not the case anymore. He stated:” Once these two things [King of Staten Island and F Is for Family] come out on the same day, the well is dry. I got nothing. So we shall see.”
But even if Burr has no plans to appear in the Mandalorian episodes of the second season, his remarks actually do show a possibility of Mayfeld coming back in the future seasons.
The second season of The Mandalorian will arrive this fall, and they’re still working on it, as of now.
