Xiaomi Brings Powerful 80W Wireless Charging Technology

Who says that charging your phone has to be an annoying process necessarily? Xiaomi once again brings an exciting innovation that will tremendously improve smartphone usage for many. The Chinese company is mostly known for building powerful phones at affordable prices, but it now shines in a slightly unexpected way.

The brand new 80W Mi Wireless Charging technology that Xiaomi proposes takes only 19 minutes to charge a 4,000 mAh battery fully. There’s no room for interpretation here, and here’s the proof uploaded by Xiaomi itself:

Yes, you read that right!!! It now only takes 19 minutes to fully charge a 4000mAh battery. This is 80W #MiWirelessChargingTechnology, it’s faster than most wired charging solutions! 

If charging your phone while you’re watching an episode of your favorite TV show doesn’t sound tempting enough, it’s worth knowing that you can also charge half of the battery in just eight minutes.

Better than the 30W Mi Wireless Charging Technology

Xiaomi offers more details in a blog post:

80W Mi Wireless Charging Technology is capable of filling a 4,000 mAh battery to 10% in 1 minute, 50% in 8 minutes and 100% in just 19 minutes. For comparison, 30W Mi Wireless Charging Technology from 2019 was capable of charging a similar battery to 50% in about 25 minutes, and 100% in 69 minutes1.

But Xiaomi remains faithful to its ambitious plans. Back in August, the Chinese company announced that it would kick-start the mass production of smartphones equipped with under-display front cameras from the 3rd Generation. This means that in 2021, smartphones equipped with the annoying notch that pretty much everyone hates will become obsolete thanks to one of the most impressive phone manufacturers in the present.

The most successful phones created by Xiaomi are the following: Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, Xiaomi Black Shark 3, Xiaomi Mi 9, Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, Xiaomi Mi 9 SE. A mini Mi 9, Xiaomi Black Shark 2, and others.
